Welcome to Trevor Yorke's website where you can discover more about his illustrated books
including looking inside, future projects and where you can purchase them.
All the books are written and illustrated by the author so that they are easy to understand for the student or beginner in the subject but in depth enough to hold the interest of the more experienced enthusiast. Every book is packed with labelled drawings, photographs and paintings rather than pages of monotonous text.

TRACING THE HISTORY OF HOUSES
An introduction to the subject of dating a period house from Tudor timber framed cottages up to a 1930s semi. It uses drawings and photos to illustrate the details which characterise a certain period and has information about documentary evidence which can be easily found on the internet and in local and national archives.
128 pages, Colour, £9.95

ART DECO HOUSE STYLES
A colourful guide to all aspects of modern style houses from the 1930s which we now band together as Art Deco. It covers the white,  streamlined flats and houses with luxurious interiors as seen on programs like Poirot, but also describes the more radical International Style of modern buildings which would dominate after the Second World War. There is also a chapter illustrating the interiors and the types and style of fittings which could be useful for anyone restoring a house from this period.
80 Pages, Colour, £6.95
